You are the sun not the reflection, 2015
Antique chinese bronze mirrors, 85 x 180 x 4 cm

Nine antique mirrors made of oxidized bronze are placed on the wall so that symbolically, they represent a perspective of the nine planets of the solar system. The viewer is put in the position of the sun, and in a way, becomes the light at the source of the image, and not the image itself, which appeared originally in the mirrors before time oxidized them.

Neuf miroirs antiques en bronze oxydé sont placés au mur de telle manière à représenter symboliquement une vue en perspective des neufs planètes du système solaire (8 plus 1). Par cela et le titre, le « regardeur » est invité à occuper la place du soleil, à se reconnaître comme la lumière à l’origine de l’image et non l’image elle-même qui apparaissait originellement dans les miroirs avant que le temps n’œuvre à les oxyder.
