The vanishing point is often considered the symbolic representation of infinity in works on perspective. Vanishing Point of View is a combination of a vanishing point and a point of view. If one considers the point of view to be the vanishing point, it implies that the viewer is in a peculiar place: both at the viewpoint (the place of interest) and the location of the vanishing point, i.e. the place where infinity begins. The viewer is thus transported to this place of infinity.

Le point de fuite (vanishing point) est souvent considéré comme la représentation symbolique de l’infini dans les illustrations en perspective. Vanishing Point of View est donc une combinaison de vanishing point (point de fuite) et point of view (point de vue). Si l’on considère le point de vue comme un point de fuite, l’observateur se trouve dans une position particulièrement intéressante : il jouit d’une vue panoramique et est le point où converge l’étendue de sa vision, là où s’étend l’infini. Le spectateur devient, dès lors, cet espace infini.
