The shape of a recumbent male figure is visible under a silver-coated sheet of glass that flows softly as if it were cloth. The figure is lying on a block of solid marble, and is reminiscent of a corpse under a shroud, or an effigy on a tomb. There is, however, no figure: where a human body clearly left its traces, now there simply is a void.

 Sous une feuille de verre recouverte d’argent, qui tombe avec la douceur d’une belle étoffe, apparaît la forme d’un homme gisant. La figure repose sur un solide bloc de marbre, telle une réminiscence d’un corps sous un linceul ou une effigie sur une tombe. Il n’y a cependant aucune figure : là où un corps humain a laissé des traces tangibles, il y a maintenant simplement un vide.
